Scouts has always been a huge part of my life! I have been in scouting since I was 5, going through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and now Explorers - I spend three days and 4 sessions a week Scouting, at Explorers twice a week and then as a leader for 1st Hockley Beavers and Scouts. I'm passionate about ensuring Scouting is open for all, and plan to remain in Scouting for the forseeable future. Scouting has taken me on some fantastic adventures - undeniably the biggest being EIJ 2024, where I was part of the u18 staff team. I enjoyed EIJ so much that I stayed on, and am now part of the newsletter team. I'm also part of the Essex Scouts media team, where I'm looking forward to improving communications about Scouting in Essex so we ensure everyone is offered the opportunity to be a part of Scouts!

It’s been two weeks, and we’re still recovering from a fantastic weekend at Skreens Park, where we all made MegaCamp 2025 one to remember! The rain couldn’t dampen our spirits, and we sent 1600 Cubs’ home on Sunday afternoon thoroughly worn out but full of memories they’ll cherish for years to come. read more
